ETA: I hate copy-editing, especially my own translations. I have the feeling that I no longer have any sprachgefühl speech feeling sense of English usage (see what I mean?), at least for academic prose, which unfortunately is what I'm trying to produce. Also, I have somehow managed to turn the language setting in Word off, permanently, for the document I'm reviewing. This is annoying, especially as when I want to turn it off for blocks of Middle High German or Latin, it won't stay off and keeps autocorrecting my endings into gibberish....

*headdesk* Of course. That was pretty stupid even for my standards. I blame the lack of coffee, which incidentally was the only thing I remembered Seattle for.
