I liked The Girl in the Fireplace, despite the odd caveat.

But tell me: I've heard all the arguments as to whether or not the Doctor is half human (of course he isn't!).

What I am currently wondering is, where did he get the streak of Vulcan from?

And now I am for my bed. Finally.

*g*

Maybe he's finally decided to give at least someone some Spock...?

Hi Jo! I am trying to read a lot of current issues in medieval studies this semester, because I'm taking a medieval English literature seminar in the autumn. Can you recommend any books?

I am really jealous of all of you in the UK enjoying Dr Who, btw. I can't find it here, I don't even think it is on BBC America. Do you know?

I guess just general surveys that kind of give an overview of current research methods in various subject areas... I'm interesting in medieval English history or medieval English literature, because that's the seminar I"m taking....

Cool. I dunno, I had just thought of it, because I wanted to do some revision, so I fancied asking you (kinda on the spur of the moment). Oh, also... I am thinking about doing Anglo-Saxon as one of my medieval languages... are their primers for learning how to read Anglo-Saxon? Do you know of anything?

Caroline Walker Bynum came to Rutgers this past January! It was really great to see her in person and hear a paper.

I will investigate Doctor Who. We have a BBC America channel and I have no idea why they wouldn't air it, but I haven't been able to find it on there. Strange!

It's on the Sci-Fi Channel on Friday nights - hence the NBC connection.

Thank you so much. That's probably why I've not seen it ... I usually go out on Friday night and never really check TV listings. I will watch out for it now, though! :)
