You may remember a while ago I was speculating about the possible reaction of a modern fandom to Who fandom's first regeneration? Well, I still haven't done anything about it, but lizbee has done a wonderful mock-up of a fandom wank report APA c. 1980/ S. 17, with the fallout from the cancellation of Shada. No! Our shipper producers are leaving, and now there will be NOTHING BUT PLOT FOR EVER!!!111!!

It's simply hilarious, isn't it? And I would very much like to read a similar mock-up on the theme of "without Hartnell, the show won't be worth watching anymore!"

At the moment, I feel like I'm disappearing under a mountain of work and am already feeling totally guilty about disappearing off camping (with the Scouts) at the end of text week - in fact, it's only greater guilt about letting people down that's stopping me ringing up and cancelling, so - while that would be great fun to write - it's not likely to happen soon.

Glad you enjoyed the link, though - I think it's brilliant.

I didn't mean to sound as if I was trying to put pressure on you. I know that your offline life is insanely busy at the moment; but if you ever wrote a fandom wank spoof for the end of the Hartnell era in, say, ten years' time, I'd be very glad to read it!
