For now, I'd like to pick the flist's collective brains about computer hardware. I'd like to buy an external harddrive, as my photo collection is getting out of hand (I run Mac OS 10.3 on an iBook G4). Anyone have any reccommendations?
I'd also really like to know what the hell I did with my USB stick after I last backed up my work... but I suspect I'm on my own resources, there!

Date: 2008-01-23 01:12 pm (UTC)I mean, I can say that it does seem to work fine, but I have nothing else to compare it to. Only think maybe is that it takes some time for my laptop to notice it when first connected - but I guess that's probably due to processor speed. Btw I have the same computer as you :)
But I haven't really had or used it enough, to say that any problems won't come out later...
Oh, one more thing. There are different types of computer connection. Mine has a SATA one, for which I have an adapter to USB. But no idea whether that came with the hard drive, or whether my boyfriend sorted that out for me along with everything else...
I sound like such a girl. Sorry.

But at least I can say that I do heartily recommend the external hard drive thing in general.
