Shake keyboard really hard, upside down?...no, that seems like bad advice.

Yeah, I'd be a shaker too. And maybe try vacuuming the keyboard whilst upside down being shaken. Just for a laugh.

But then I'm quite happy to take the keys off too, but do remember to lay them out in order, Ms Leaf.

No vacuum cleaner, alas (though in this case it may be just as well).

On the other hand, a lot of the letters have worn off the keyboard anyway, so that's one potential problem fewer...

It seems less risky than trying to prise the keys off, although I shall turn the computer off and let the HD spin down first....
