Well, I'm back in Oxford and now have regular net access. I had a nice break -though I think the funniest thing that happened was right at the start, when - having decided to leave my luggage for an hour or so in the British Library, only to discover they'd instituted bag searches - I said irritably "It'll probably explode when you open it..... er, that was badly put, wasn't it?" I now have a new suitcase, and, thanks to the joy of transporting too many books, a whole new set of scratches, bruises and stretched muscles.

Did I miss anything good while I was gone? Fic, meta, interesing posts of any other kind? At any rate, I hope you're all well and had a good Easter.

Occasionally I find myself fighting down the wish to say something irresponsibly frivolous at a security check - such as introducing myself as Her Majesty's Lieutenant-Governor of [appropriate state] on arriving in the USA. I have not done this, happily.
