Anyone have any tips on discouraging clothes moths? Unfortunately, mothballs make the inside of my throat swell up, but grateful for any other suggestions...

Hi, here via the network.

Cedarwood and lavender are also effective, and smell much better!

I use cedar blocks and sachets. If you love the smell, as I do, it's great. And they work!

Yes, cedar! And I won't even make any Ovidian tree jokes about it.

Peppermint (in a potent distillation like essential oil etc) also seems to discourage most insects – you might try a bit in your drawers/wardrobe/whatever.

Lavender, cedar, strongly scented bars of soap in drawers. Only store clean garments, use plastic clothes bags, freeze or microwave heirlooms. Pheromone traps, kill any moths you see, despair, wail.

Laser cannon. The aim is trick, but it sure takes care of the moths!

I'm going to agree with all the previous posters and say Cedar!
