I haven't really forgotten the Star Trek meme, though you are getting some answers in a batch.
1 - Which Star Trek is your favorite?
2 - Who is your favorite character?
Oh come on, this is an impossible question, even if I stretch it and pick one for each series. There are so many great characters, and so many great friendships – this is one of the things I love about DS9 in particular, but it applies to the others, too.
Well, let’s pick one from each:
TOS and original cast movies: Spock! Without a doubt – though I also have a fondness for McCoy, grumpy but lovable old bastard that he is. But Spock was my favourite from the beginning, and that’s never changed. As a child – bright, socially awkward, with a tendency to be impatient with things that didn’t make sense – I possibly over-identified with him, whereas now I have mixed feelings about his methods of coping with his dual heritage, at least in TOS days. But I find it hard to see how you can’t love Spock. And yes, I still tear up at the death scene in Star Trek II. In passing, I also note that he’s the only main character who is portrayed as having some kind of disciplined spiritual life (it’s a bit ironic, given the strong element of atheist cheerleading in TOS and TNG, that it’s the Vulcans who are still religious. Of course I think this is part of the problematic tendency to portray Spock and Vulcans as exoticised Others – which possibly also explains the troubling and most illogical Vulcan sexual politics, but nonetheless, I think I also found Spock interesting because he’s a brilliant scientist with an acknowledged spiritual side). And I was fascinated by the fact that in ST:VI he has a painting of the expulsion from Eden in his quarters.
The fact that he’s played by Leonard Nimoy doesn’t hurt. Spock was definitely my first crush.
I like Uhura a lot, too (and I like her relationship with Spock, what we see of it – I don’t ship it as such, but they genuinely seem to like and respect each other). It’s just a shame we don’t see more of her, because she has such potential, and we only get glimpses of it.
TNG: I’m tempted to say Worf, but I don’t think the character comes into his own until DS9 (where he’s not my favourite character, because that’s… you can probably guess. Sorry, Worf). I shall be a bit dull and pick Picard, because he is endlessly watchable. I have to say a lot of this is down to his being played by Patrick Stewart, but I do appreciate his geekiness about Shakespeare and archaeology, and also the fact that his character is clearly a raging Anglophilic fanboy (I prefer my Watsonian theory that this is somehow connected to his conflict with his brother and his rejection of the family wine-growing business, to my suspicion that he’s like that because he’s played by Patrick Stewart and the writers think that Europe is a homogenous mass).
DS9: this is absolutely the hardest one. I will pick Kira, because I love her to bits – stubborn, conflicted, principled, an intelligently portrayed religious person, resourceful, tough, loving. Her unfolding relationship with Ben, and how she deals with the fact that her boss is also a reluctant messenger from her gods is fascinating. I love her friendship with Jadzia. I loved the moment early on in S1 when she cuts off Julian’s ‘frontier medicine’ fantasies (which was also a great moment of smartness about colonialism from the writers). I love her relationship with Odo, though I do wish she’d had a relationship that wasn’t doomed. Mind you, having said that, I liked the fact that her relationship with Shakaar just ran its natural course, rather than perishing amidst much drama.
But I also love Miles, Julian, Worf, both Daxes, all the Siskos, Garak… Unfair, question! Unfair!
Voyager: I rather went off Voyager, and don’t have all that much desire to rewatch it, but I like B’Elanna Torres a whole lot, and thought that she had a very satisfying character arc, as she grows up and learns to cope with her darker side and accept her Klingon heritage, and while I was very suspicious of the introduction of Seven (probably because most of the publicity was about her catsuit), I also quickly came to love her and her awkward, angry, innocence. And I also loved the Doctor; he always made episodes more fun.
Enterprise: Oh, I dunno. I have to admit that I really didn’t like the show. Either Malcolm Reed or T’Pol. Actually I shipped them a bit, purely because I thought they both deserved a better show and a better crew (and, more to the point, a better captain).
3 - Who is your least favorite character?
Neelix got on my nerves a lot at times (at other times I found him quite sweet), but I actively disliked Jonathan Archer, who I found petulant, angry in a negative sort of way, and ultimately morally dubious. Even the beagle couldn’t redeem him.
4 - What was the first Star Trek series you watched?
TNG was the first one I saw properly, though I’d already been introduced to TOS in the form of the James Blish short stories of the episodes. I think they’re still my secret primary canon, actually…
5 - What was the first episode/movie you watched?
That would have been TOS “Arena”, dubbed into German, at the age of ten (it was on telly when we were staying with friends who were into Star Trek). I didn’t speak German at the time, but it turns out you can follow that particular story surprisingly well without the dialogue….

13 - What's your favorite dramatic moment?
14 - What's your favorite Star Trek quote?

16 - Are you involved with Star Trek fandom?
17 - Have you read any of the books? If so, which ones?
18 - If you could be any species in the Star Trek universe, what would you be?
