I think I find the 'cinnamon eyes' badfic cliche even more irritating than chocolate, though in both cases I am dubious about associating eyeballs with food. Not being a raven, I find the idea of nibbling eyes a bit icky.

But in any case: chocolate comes in a wide variety of shades, and yes, some of them are rather close to the colour of dark eyes.

Never met anyone who's eyes were cinammon coloured, though, and I find it hard to imagine it would be attractive. You might as well call them 'rust coloured' and be done with it!

To me, rust and cinnamon are distinctly different. Rust has more orange in it, but cinnamon is more a neutral lighter brown shade that does not lean toward any primary. And neither of them is the same as sherry-colored, which has a bit of yellow or gold in it.
