Just a reminder that it's the last week of Three Weeks for Dreamwidth, and at my DW journal I'm asking for Frequently (Or Not So Frequently) Asked Questions about Anglicanism/ the Church of England (you're welcome to ask about Christianity more broadly, but bear in mind that I am an Anglo-Catholic and, as such, if you want to know about, say, obscure varieties of Pentecostalism or an informed opinion on Christian Contemporary Music, I am the wrong person† *g*). Coming up, we have questions about the difference between Anglo-Catholicism and high-church, and where the Church of England gets its money from, but more questions welcome (for instance, if you have no idea what something I was babbling on about was about, ask away).

You ought to be able to comment here, or on the original post, anonymously or via open ID. However, I understand some people found that problematic, so if you use LJ, have no interest in Anglicanism but nevertheless feel like helping me work out if there's a continuing problem, a comment over at DW would be exceedingly helpful.

† Though I know the brother-in-law of one of the members of Jars of Clay. I'm sure you're as dazzled by my closeness to celebrity as I am. (I'm slightly hazier on what any of their songs are actually like, though).

or an informed opinion on Christian Contemporary Music

I am sure an uninformed opinion would be entertaining ;-)

What's the current official position on homosexual clergy? (Open, practising, celibate, civil partnerships, etc.) And is it, do you think, widely observed? I know about Jeffrey John as the most obvious example, but I have no real sense of whether, for instance, there are numerous gay clergy living with their partners with TPTB turning a blind eye.

Is there a different 'official' teaching that the laity are meant to follow?

Are these acceptable questions?

Why Anglo-Catholic for you? From a personal perspective, what particular aspects of the Anglo-Catholic tradition do you see as its most valuable, compared with plain vanilla low-church anglicanism, or even non-conformist protestantism in general?

What do Anglo-Catholics in general (or you in particular if you can't answer for 'them'!) think about the Pope, and the Roman Catholic practice of awarding sainthood to people who in whose name "miracles" (which seem to be nearly always 'medical' miracles) are produced?

Not asking a question for 3W4DW, but just wanted to drop a note saying that I found your journal interesting, and subscribed.
