Did you see the article in the Grauniad that Christopher Tolkien is to publish a sort of novelization of a 'complete' "The Children of Hurin"? I do wonder what it'll be like - TCoH is something I've long felt might make a rather good film, but given CTs opinion of the Jackson films, I'm not sure of the prospects for that...
And I fear you're right - there's not much chance of a film, though it would be interesting. I'd settle for a decent radio play, though (the pictures are better on radio, anyway..)
