I'm now having visions of Jadis turning to evil because she was a frustrated scientist at heart, and who would have really been much happier if only her owrld had the technology to make a functioning microscope.
An interesting idea, though I can't help suspecting she's have turned out like the Rani (probably still an improment, though)!
