OLIS (the Oxford library catalogue) lists a book on a thirteenth century life of St Clare of Assisi. The item record claims the life was written in Old High German. If that's true, there were some scribes in Germany with mad philological skills, as that's a bit like me translating my thesis into early Middle English.

Oh, but wouldn't that be impressive? Pointless, of course, but perhaps some day if you get particularly bored... :P

I think I'll go for translating it into Middle High German, my language skills are better there... but yes, it would be fantastic.

But then, I did once translate Tennyson into Old English when I was supposed to be revising for finals. I'm wierd like that!

Oh, if I only knew Old English, that sounds like something I might do, too. Anything to avoid studying!
