Nov. 10th, 2008 11:21 pmAh, "The Dalek Invasion of Earth", how I am enjoying you! Barbara careering through Daleks with a lorry stolen from a museum! Ian telling the Robomen who tell him helping an injured prisoner is against orders "Get new orders!"
I'm very fond of later companions, especially Jamie, the Brigadier, Liz, Jo, Sarah and Donna, but I don't think anyone's ever been better than Barbara and Ian, even if Barbara's hair appears to lead a life of its own and is vaguely scary (and wind resistant!)... come to think of it, maybe Ten's hair is an unconscious tribute?

Date: 2008-11-11 12:31 am (UTC)I think the Daleks are presented very well in this - it was a leap to turn them into universal conquerors from mutated inhabitants of a metallic city on a petrified planet, and at times they come close to being a sort of variety act - but they are seen to be lethal, can back tyranny with extreme force, and it's implied at one point that they can climb stairs, so nowhere is safe...
