Note to self: Pimms is stronger than you think, even if it's being consumed in Front Quad after chapel, and ESPECIALLY if the Chaplain mixed it...

Well, I'm not so sure about its brilliance: just the usual Thursday night Eucharist in the college chapel, which of course is followed by drinks (in good high Anglican style). It having been a lovely day, we had Pimms, which for anyone out there who isn't familiar with it is a gin-based fruit cup, drunk diluted with lemonade. Only the chaplain is a generous soul, and will mix his drinks rather strong - and I had forgotten how strong it is anyhow - with the simple result that I ended up having a fantastically amusing evening, and my plan to write grammar exercises post dinner foundered on the fact that it was a struggle to type in coherent English, never mind German.

Of course, I am blaming the fact that I was being thurrifer during the service, and so got a rather healthy dose of incense. That stuff goes straight to your head...
