... only I know I'd miss the books and pictures really. I could do without the wildly varying styles of dress just now, though, including the evening dress which exposure to St Andrews and Oxford made me pack as a necessity, and hasn't been off the hanger once.

Date: 2008-08-20 11:13 pm (UTC)I do empathise with the wish for apostolic poverty somewhat, though it's based on what I suspect is a variant of the sin of covetousness. I am very reluctant to throw out any of the magazines and newspapers I accumulated in the 1980s and 1990s, even though I think I rarely look at them.
