I've bought a mouth organ, for the purpose of singing with the Cubs, and so as to be able to carry an instrument on hikes and so on. (A diatonic one, namely a Hohner Echo Super Vamper). It only occured to me later that I would also need to buy a book to find out which note is which and how to play the thing properly (though I have thus far this afternoon managed to more or less play 'Amazing Grace' and 'Taps' and something that sounded a bit like 'Mack the Knife'. Unfortunately I have not been able to repeat the trick for any of them)

A good job my flatmate's moved out, really.

ISTR (though it might only be in the novelisation) that at the end of 'The Three Doctors', when the second Doctor's recorder has been used to destroy Omega's anti-matter universe, the second Doctor produces a mouth organ on which he plays "a few bars of 'Oh, Susanna', not very well".

This post really made me miss Guides :( I miss singing Taps in multiple different languages! (That was my camp party trick, along with being the only person who could reliably repeat the last line of 'Flea-fly-flow') I really should get back into it when I'm back in London!

I'm sure there must be websites with mouth organ instructions/music.
