Whiny emo post about scheduling conflicts

tree_and_leafBah! Have just realised that Doctor Who is on at 7:15 tonight.
Which is a cause for general rejoicing, too - but leaves me somewhat irked, as it in effect clashes with the Easter Vigil service at Mary Mags (given relative positions of telly and church). And I've already arranged to go out to dinner with a friend who I haven't seen for ages during the Sunday night repeat.
How can the BBC do this to me, she said self-pityingly.
(It's not a duty-inclination conflict; the Easter Vigil is probably my favourite service of the whole year. And what's not to like about bonfires, candles, smoke, bells, sixteenth century polyphonic singing by a fine choir - and the minor matter of the resurrection of Our Lord and Saviour? So on the whole, I think church clearly wins over Who - but I am slightly sad to miss it.)
Returns to normal life and the Revelations of Agnes Blannbekin (though that can hardly be called normality, come to think of it).
Oh: for all those hat fans out there, I offer a fantastic site I have just found

I want... lots of their hats (particularly the Newbury sporting felt and the ladies summer panama which rolls up in a tube. I also like the muskrat fur cap). Unfortunately, with these gentry, £60 counts as cheap...

Yes, I watched it last night. I was rather disappointed because RTD simply can't write a decent plot for the life of him. The episode was saved by Billie Piper and David Tennant, though.
Especially by David Tennant in the shower, says my inner fangirl.(no subject)

There were at least two episodes where aliens possessed Spock's body
though I can see why that might have seemed an attractive idea, and that's without even counting the trainwreck that was Spock's Brain, because I like old Star Trek and Spock in particular, so I'm pretending that was just a bad dream...But werewolves! Queen Victoria!

And RTD should be eaten by zombies for that.Hmmm, I have got only very dim memories of ST:OS, but yeah, they, too, liked to do the sci-fi run-of-the-mill body-switching plot. Which makes New Earth hardly more original.
Though I do agree with you on the desirability of Spock.But werewolves! Queen Victoria!
