Yay for Jo! I knew you could do it! Oh, and thanks for the comments to my journal post. I can't believe how horrible that book from the 'Christian' genre sounds... I am absolutely aghast at your description: such sexism, utter ignorance for Oxonian culture and British culture for that matter, etc. I am so frustrated by these people, because it makes the rest of us who try to be fantastic female academics and also spiritual and religious individuals a bad name. I am forever trying to shake the stereotypes of my conservative, fundamentalist-ish Christian upbringing, and my parents weren't even as bad as some (read: I wore pants, watched mainstream TV, read lots of books with swear words and listened to rock music or whatever else I wanted growing up). I am also forever enduring the whispers from people in my past, who can't believe Tim would move around to suit MY career while putting his own on hold, and also the annoying women who ask me when I'm going to get pregnant. AARGH.
If people who kiss before marriage are going to hell, I am eternally damned!!!!
