| You scored as Orthodox You are Orthodox, worshiping the mystery of the Holy Trinity in the great liturgy whereby Jesus is present
|
The result is odd in a way, because I have never been to an Orthodox service in my life, but observation of the meme on various other blogs suggests that High Anglicans, unless they are raving Thomists (and most of them aren't, they're more fuzzy than that!), tend to score as Orthodox. Maybe our chaplain is right, and Anglican-Orthodox union really is the way forward for ecumenism (though I'm not sure how the Orthodox church would see it, and all too sure how our evangelicals would react....)

Date: 2007-10-24 11:29 am (UTC)As for chaplains, the impression I had of our chaplain, back in the day, was that there were aspects of Hinduism which should be Christianity's guide; but I was a shy undergraduate and didn't get involved in anything at college, so learned no more.

Date: 2007-10-27 08:14 am (UTC)Well yes, those are the problems I see; also, quite a lot of the less-liberal Anglican crowd would probably have big problems with icons and would generally find it too high church.
Orthodoxy has already arranged for the Anglo-Catholic missal to be adapted (my current church used to be Anglican before it converted, and they use this rite
That is interesting. Do you mean 'The English Missal', by any chance (which I once found in a RC bookshop filed under 'Protestant, non-conformist', which made me LOL a lot...
