On Wednesday, my smartphone news app woke me with an insistent buzz to tell me that Donald Trump had been elected President. Today, it woke me up to tell me Leonard Cohen had died. So I listened to "Suzanne" and had a good cry in the shower. This just about sums up my week.

Yes. It has not been a good week.

It's a blow, a sadness coming unexpected amid the horror.

Oddly I have been able to cry about this in a way j can't yet cry about the us election result.
