I will certainly help if that means "encourage to post" ;-) Though I haven't yet seen Spectre on account of the film about sheep.

If it's the line I'm thinking it must be, it's not particularly spoilery. (Is there really much to spoil in a Bond film? Things explode, there are car chases and gadgets and witty banter and some PG-13 sex. Not much varies between films apart from the order and locations.)

I would very much like to see the ficlet. I went looking for fic after seeing the film but apparently the fandom is basically monolithic Bond/Q and that doesn't quite do it for me.

I've just looked at AO3, and gosh, yes. Much of it quite unashamed about writing the women out, too.

I took a look at one that was Moneypenny/M, but it had her reflecting on his "English-pale skin", and just no.
