It's tempting to wonder whether saying that you think the English won't accept a Scot as PM when your own party leader is called 'Cameron' isn't a gaff on more levels than the obvious 'annoys the Scots' one...

Yes, and when your present PM is called 'Blair' and was educated at Fettes.
I do see the point though - I think they mean 'sitting for a Scottish constituency', but they should be more precise really.

True - but I suspect 'precision', like 'tact', is a Difficult Foreign Concept to the member for Henley-on-Thames...

(Fettes, of course, is the one school in Edinburgh which caters for people who don't want their children to be Scottish. Blair is in this sense a great success)
