Based on the lj interests lists of those who share my more unusual interests, the interests suggestion meme thinks I might be interested in
1. writing score: 18
2. reading score: 18 Surely one doesn't need to state an interest in in reading? It's like writing 'breathing'.
3. music score: 16 Bit generic.
4. poetry score: 16 Yep.
5. photography score: 15 Yes
6. history score: 14 Yes, though again, a bit generic
7. cats score: 13 No. I no longer regard them with utter loathing - though I am allergic - and have sometimes met cats I like, but I'm still more of a dog person.
8. classical music score: 12
9. art score: 12
10. chocolate score: 11.
11. literature score: 11
12. coffee score: 10 See comment regarding reading. Though I still think there's more to say about tea.
13. shakespeare score: 10. Not bad, for a modern. *ducks*
14. singing score: 9 Well, I have been thinking I'd like to take lessons, though I am no great shakes as a musician (but am in danger of ending up in a job that involves singing in public, so....)
15. german score: 9 Yep.
16. mythology score: 9 Well, I suppose so.
17. fantasy score: 9
18. philosophy score: 9. Hm. When I try to do philosophy, I'm afraid it just turns out as theology.
19. dancing score: 8 Meh. Unless it's folk.
20. sewing score: 8. Not entirely, though I can see the appeal of dress-making etc.

Interesting. My list had one 4-point new interest (which I didn't want to list), two 3-point interests, and seven or eight 2-point interests. I guess I'm already listing everything I "should" be interested in :D

[Edit: I can't count. I did have 20 interests - seventeen (!) were 2-point ones.]

"When I try to do philosophy, I'm afraid it just turns out as theology."

*Grins* Sounds like me!

... of course, if I try to do psychology...
or sociology...
or politics...
or ecology...
um. Yeah. It's all theology, in the end, innit?

I know plenty of people disinterested in reading...

I got cats as well--I like them well enough, but I'm more of a dog person.
Coffee, which I used to love, but can't drink anymore at all.
Politics, which I dislike because I don't enjoy conflict.
Wine, which I drink, but have very little sophistication about because I'm far more interested in beer.
And movies, which is amusing because I hardly ever manage to actually watch them.

It's actually slightly frustrating--I wish I'd got something like "growing banyans in hollowed-out asteroids."

It's very bemusing. Oddly, I know a couple of people who profess disinterest in reading and yet spend all their spare time online, reading music blogs and things. One concludes that by 'not interested in reading' they mean 'not interested in reading novels or pop history or pop science'.
