Sorry to spam, and also to keep demanding advice, but I meant to ask:

Anyone have views as to good guide-books for Italy? I'm going to be mostly in the Loreto/ Rimini area....

Rick Steves' Italy 2009 (or 2010...whenever you are going...there will be a book for the year).

I've been to Italy four times, including living there for part of the summer. It's comprehensive, and you'll find little gems that aren't too touristy in it. Honestly, it's the next best thing to an Italian.
