I wish they'd give the bus stops names. How do I know what stop to ask for if I'm going to the doctor's? I don't; I walk! lol

The bus stops do have names, but no-one remembers them, and I've never seen a timetable that lists all of them. Indeed, when bus stop signs in Oxford were the responsibility of the bus companies rather than the county council, some bus stops would have two names, one for both the main operators...

I tend to smile sweetly at the driver and say, 'Could you tell me the nearest stop to X? Thank you. Return, please.' How well it works depends very much on the driver.
