A spot of timewasting, gacked from junediamanti. Though the Scottish regional boundaries are odd (I mean, Stirling gets a box to itself, while 'Edinburgh, Lothians and Falkirk' are apparently a homogenous entity?)

I have just realised I have never been to Wales. That's riduiculous - and my knowledge of the south is spotty, but I knew that.

It most certainly is! I have no idea which counties I've visited, but I know they wouldn't take up much room at all on that map, as I've only been to England once, for a couple of weeks, and I've never been to the rest of the UK at all.

Where abouts were you? If you remember the towns, one cd work out the counties from there.

May I reccommend Scotland, esp Edinburgh and St Andrews? And the Borders.

Oh, I would love very much to go to Scotland. If I ever have any money, I certainly plan to visit. My uncle actually studied in Edinburgh for a year while working on his MBA. The only time I've been to England was on tour with my youth orchestra in 8th grade. We played in London and Bath and at a festival of some sort in Colchester, and we visited Stonehenge, Stratford-upon-Avon, and Cambridge. Then Mom, my grandparents, and I stayed on for an extra 10 days, visiting a friend in Nottingham for the weekend before going on to Lichfield.

I'm impressed by the methodical way you've worked through the island - my map would be far more spotty.

Well, it it's deceptive, really - it's just that the regional areas north of the midlands are so big, it looks like I've visited more than I have (my knowledge of Yorks, for instance, is pretty much confined to the Dales and York itself - which leaves an awful lot of the county uncovered, and places like Sheffield are really entirely different from Swaledale)

I've also just remembered that I have been to Suffolk. But there you go.
