Today is the anniversary of the Hamilton-Burr duel, which makes me speculate about which of our politicians, given the last three weeks events, should be most glad that no-one fights duels any more.

(Gove, probably! Though I like Hamilton, and am reluctant to thus implicitly cast Johnson for his part).
