The recent winner of the Nobel (sort of) prize for economics, Paul Krugman, seems an interesting chap. He's also a total geek with a good sense of humour, as the paper he wrote considering certain aspects of galactic trade demonstrates....

I do wish things wouldn't keep turning into mysticism on me. It's disconcerting. Specifically, I dislike it when they turn into a sort of pseudo-mysticism, which neither recognises what it's doing, nor seems to understand why it's worthwhile.
