I've just realised that Tracy Ann Oberman, who was everyone's favourite British imperialist in the last Doctor Who end of season finale was also the attractive young rabbi in the R4 comedy of the same name, currently being repeated on BBC 7.
I also read vol 1 of 'The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen', but I am unable to forgive its authors for turning Allan Quartermaine (object of an early literary crush) into a washed up opium addict. Even though they do get a certain amount of credit for referencing Mr Harding of Barchester - I'm willing to overlook the fact that he would be unlikely to be writing letter to the papers in 1895....
