Date: 2008-07-09 08:01 am (UTC)One way of finding them is to look at the 'most popular' page, which at the moment seems to have a rather high proportion of Twilight related stuff, and also of - IMO - nauseating Evangelical Christian stuff, sometimes with a strong 'true love waits, but being a housewife is your divinely appointed destiny!' undertone (er, maybe I'm overreacting). Or along 'I like boys who like Jesus' lines. The most mind-boggling one I've seen recently was 'Dance with God, he'll let the perfect man cut in', though the fact that I've adopted 'dancing' and 'flexible dancer' as a euphemism didn't exactly help.... (still, what's the subtext? God is all very well until your husband comes along?)
I went looking for Doctor Who flair yesterday during an odd moment, and it was virtually all Ten/ Rose - virtually no other companions, shippy or not, and a vanishingly small proportion of badges relating to Old Who. I suppose it's demographics - combine the fact that it's mostly under twenty-five, and mostly American...

I haven't looked at them, but it sounds a bit like the adictiveness of certain kinds of badfic..

Date: 2008-07-09 08:38 am (UTC)That's it exactly - at least if you're not of the age and personality to genuinely swoon over romance with sparkly vampires. The "so bad it's good AND entertaining" book is all too rare, but the Twilight books really are.
