When will they give up? When the lab is finally built, I suppose. And even then - when they grow up? When they get bored? When someone starts a project they view as eviller (or rather, that they think is a soft target)?
And "word" on their not having grown up yet. I mean I'm not that fond of the idea of animal testing myself (and if it's done to develop shinier eye-shadows or something along those lines, I'd happily smite it).
But from what I have gathered, the protests often affect the lives of ordinary students as well and, what's much more important, the lab is supposed to be a biomedical research facility.
And I must say that I may be all for restrictions, rules and regulations as far as medical tests are concerned, but I don't oppose them on principle. I wonder whether the protesters would come off their moral high horse if they or their loved ones were diagnosed with cancer. Would they then say, "Oh no, please stop chemotherapy and treat me with mistle tinctures until my metastases eat me up from inside..."? Not that I'd ever wish it on them, but this sort of self-righteousness angers me.
