O2 is currently making my life very, very annoying, by not only killing my internet connection at home (a big problem, as I really ought to have sent the co-ordinator of our college an email with the handout for my presentation on Wednesday last night - but not only couldn't I do that, I couldn't even pick up the proofed version a German friend had sent me. Blast it all!

Then landlord turned up this morning, so I couldn't get away. Keeps complaining that about the fact that I want to move out mid summer, even though she knew damn well that it was so when I took the flat in the first place...

O2 seems to screw up a lot, lately. A good friend of mine didn't get any cell phone calls or messages for about three days; my brother didn't have an internet connection either last week... Things like that always happen when it's the worst timing ever.

Yes, it seems to be a common problem. Took it to the shop after lunch - the bloke changed the settings and assured me it ought to work - well, we'll see. It's certainly making and receiving calls at the moment, which is a good sign.

Indeed!

But the weather is lovely at the moment, and the chilled asparagus soup turned out well (so it ought to have done; it had the end of a bottle of decent local wine thrown in!) and is waiting for me to eat it for supper, so things are not all that bad. I'm certainly glad I'm not in Oxford just now!
