Science and God - again

Not a bioethics link this time, but the director of the US National Human Genome Research Institute talks about his faith (he's got a book coming out). Good - nice to see an acknowledgment that science and faith are not enemies, necessarily. Though heaven alone knows what 'theistic evolution' is supposed to mean.

Am nonetheless wryly amused that the link I followed from the Times front page said "I've found God, says man who cracked." Actually this is a cutoff of the full headline, which read "... man who cracked the human genome", but it's still funny.

I'm pretty sure that's not what he's arguing for, though. (My confusion with the term is more caused by the fact that it reminds me of Creative Evolution, though again, I'm sure he's not a Bergsonite (-onian?). My impression from the article was that he was arguing that evolution is the process by which God's creation works. Possibly he was just trying not to say 'intelligent design', though that's understandable.
