Persian food is brilliant, certainly, though I've never been brave enough to try cooking it. The chicken cassarole sounds relatively easy, though.

'Christians and Moors' is a Spanish dish (black beans and white rice) - I've had it in tapas bars. I expect that is the origin.

I like it too, though I've never tried cooking it, through lack of recipes and feeling slightly intimidated!

I've been wrestling with temptation- I'd said that I wouldn't buy any more recipie books- but I've just ordered it. Now if they just have that lovely warm aubergine and tomato dip thing they serve at "A Taste of Persia" I will be a very happy fluffy!
