Incandescent that the Tories are briefing that the Scottish High Court's judgement on the lawfulness of prorogation is politically motivated.

I mean, obviously they were going to disagree with it, but I am furious that they've gone that route rather than just saying that they think the court is wrong and that they are confident the Supreme Court will find in their favour. I'm not a lawyer, of either jurisdiction, so it might even be right that they have got it wrong, I don't know. But I do know it's hugely dangerous to start shrieking about politically biased judges, on the basis of bugger all evidence other than you don't like the verdict.

And then, of course, they have the cheek to say that it's the opponents of Brexit who are undermining judicial independence. And probably people will believe them.

It is absolutely appalling. My mind went straight to the recent government attacks on judges in Poland, this is just not something that a Prime Minister should allow.

Where Johnson is concerned, it can probably always get worse.

It just goes to show that people who claimed to want Parliament and the UK courts to 'take back control' from the EU were a pack of hypocrites, as expected.

They are a shameless pack of fascists and their contempt for Scotland as well as Northern Ireland is becoming more blatant every day.

Extremely wrong, but we can expect little else from this dire Downing Street.

Pre-2016 referendum, a Conservative activist from the south-east of England said they dreamed not only of jettisoning Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, but much of England as well.

When you are disciples of an ideology which argues that only self-interest is possible, then all expressions of neutrality are merely hypocritical tactics.

My MP has been moved to DEFRA, I think to be whatever Zac Goldsmith used to be. She does really like talking about soil (it is one of the few human things about her) and is willing to support fascists if it gets her a gig talking about soil. This is what is wrong with politicians.
