Jan. 22nd, 2009 09:19 pm- 22:58 More translation work. Which is good, but I wish Chaotic Publishers were better at given an estimate of how much work is involved.... #
- 23:02 Ultraviolet really is rather good. #
- 23:14 *concludes that the Burns night, if it happens, is going to be a very odd mix of people* #
- 08:47 .... my friend who is doing post grad biology in Oz writes to advise against feeding Danone crackers to guinea pigs. This is rather strange. #
- 08:50 Also, someone has stolen her post, including her degree certificate, and she now has a p.o. box. Is this sort of thing common in Australia? #
- 11:22 *has too many serving team rotas with similar names kicking about on her desktop* #
- 11:23 Also, am possibly unreasonably irked by people who say they _might_ be able to come to dinner parties, if they don't have too much reading. #
- 12:33 *goes off to pay battels* #
- 15:16 @Sammee42 No, but a friend of mine is, and someone has been nicking her post (a cheque for A$ 700, too - tho she got it reissued). #
- 15:18 Oh look, I'm having my arm twisted to preach again this term (not that I actually mind, I admit). #
- 15:21 Where did I put my Oystercard? The trouble with not going to London often is that you're out of practice with such things. #
- 15:36 So how do you find the number to text tweets to, anyway? #
- 15:37 E-mail from a bookseller who has now found the book I tried to order ten months ago, and do I still want it? Answer: no, thank you. #

Date: 2009-01-22 11:58 pm (UTC)12:33: "Pay battels..." Suddenly nostalgia strikes out of a blue sky. To be someone who knows what that means places you within a square mile on the whole globe.
15:21: I lost mine yesterday, right after payig a week's worth of credits on to it. And by lost I mean LOST, as in unfindable. Hope you can find yours.

Date: 2009-01-23 12:55 am (UTC)Sorry about your Oytsercard problems, hope they're sorted. Mine turned up, in a place that I'd apparently thought was safe and obvious at the time, and which, inevitably, was the former but not the latter.
