Hwæt. HWÆT. HWÆT?!!!?

Last.fm has just played me a really spectacularly silly filk of the German Pippi Longstocking song by a band called Rabenschrey called "Hej, wir sind Heiden" (Hey, we're heathen, and do what we like, and our god has two ravens, widdewiddewitt)

This is unfortunate, given that slumping on your desk and howling with laughter is not generally approved of in libraries, but at least it's lightened my mood while trying to decipher the abominably complex abbreviations in the Glossa Ordinaria, and cursing my anything but leet Latin skills...

I don't think I shall go and see this exhibition, but the review is quite an impressive bit of vitriol:

Altmejd's collectors are probably rhinestone-bejewelled toads from another galaxy who keep humans as pets. Then there are the sex scenes. As far as I can tell, all the players are male, with the occasional winged being in the mix. Sometimes it's hard to tell sex from murder, or from a strenuous aerobics class that has got out of hand. It could all be a lot funnier and sculpturally a lot more interesting.
