The world is a very strange place...

Police in Baden are looking for the unknown criminal who exploded a portaloo, sending shards of plastic flying 40m. General bafflement has ensued.

Also, either my subconscious is a strange place, or God has an odd sense of humour (actually, thinking about it, I'm putting my money on 'both of the above!') - last night I was praying with 'Sacred Space'†, and the passage from the Bible was Luke 6 36-38, ... give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back. And what my mind suggested to me, other than an image of grains of wheat, was a song. "Now cheer up my lads, it's to glory we steer/ and to add something more to this wonderful year/ heart of oak are our ships/ heart of oak are our men/ we've thumped them before and we'll thump them again."

Church Militant or not, this strikes me as a slightly strange response, though alarmingly I find it also sort of makes sense...
