Tcha. Leaving one's phone in a taxi is annoying.

Discovering that the communal phone in the household - which is cordless - is so flat that you can't phone either the taxi company or the friend you were sharing the taxi with to say it's mine and I'll pick it up later is considerably more annoying.

However, the carol service was extremely well attended and generally good (and raised a good amount of money for a local homelessness charity), and the folk session I went on to afterwards was also excellent.

Notes from a carol service

The prophet definitely did not say that the virgin was with child and would bear a son, and would call his name Emmanuelle. Trust me on this.

Mind you, have nearly had Gabriel greet Mary as 'having found flavour with God', I can't talk...
