Which applies, not to my (non-existant) party intentions, but to the weather. Actually, I'll be quite surprised if we get through the evening without a power cut!

Surreal moment of last night's telly: David Tennant, in the Doctor Who costume but in his natural accent, saying 'Lang may yer lum reek' to the Scottish public. Ah well, it may possibly have been the most sensible thing anyone said on that programme all night.
