Gah!

So I had this great idea for a warm up game for the Cubs - a Memory with the membership badges of various countries. I don't have a colour printer, but there's a print shop down the road.

Except I neglected to price it, and discovered that it would cost me £60 to print all the sheets I need. Gah indeed.

... they look OK in grayscale. As long as my cartridge holds out, which could be a bit dodgy....

ETA: Cartridge now definitely ex. Oh well - they'll photocopy.

Best places to get good value printer cartridges is Wilkinsons or Tesco. They sell genuine cartridges that are almost as cheap as the generic ones from elsewhere. In my experience both the generic cartridges and refilling existing cartridges is a false economy as they don't last nearly as long, and they can damage the printer.

Printer cartridges can be very annoying, can't they?

I know we should be grateful to have them, rather than being still stuck with typewriters and pens and carbons and all of that, but it's frustrating how they seem to go out precisely when one needs them most.

(I print a ridiculous amount of stuff, lately, cos the readings for one of my classes are circulated as pdfs and reading them on-screen gets tiring.)

Hope they photocopy well, and that the Cubs have fun with it.
