Ah, Garak. So cynical and ironic - not sparing himself from his own irony -, and not quite as ruthless as he thinks he is. In particular, I loved his relationship with Bashir, which could be summed up in ther following snatch of dialogue:

Bashir: What I want to know is, out of all the stories you told me which ones were true and which ones weren't?
Garak: My dear doctor...they're all true.
Bashir: Even the lies?
Garak: Especially the lies.
