Thank you! I've never bought Catholic Snape (I've never even seen a fic with Jewish!Snape, although I suppose you can argue that there are similarities between his physical description and anti-Semitic stereotype - but that's not a good justification). He doesn't have enough of a sense of the possibility of forgiveness to be interesting as a Catholic. A touch of the Darcys, though not in the fanon sense: 'my good opinion, once lost, is lost forever'. And not much 'guilt', or a sense of his own sinfulness, that I can see.

Not, in RL, that you don't get unforgiving and self satisfied Catholics, but it would be pointless as a subject of a fic. (Unless the conflict involved them struggling with their unforving nature, but - oh, this is getting too complicated! I should get back to work).

Oh, and thanks for the approval of the style! Very heartening.
