This fic was inspired by one too many of those 'Sarah is broken-hearted by the Doctor leaving and Harry moons around after her, hoping for a tiny bit of her attention', which added insult to injury by making Harry unable to cope, emotionally, with losing a sock.

Oh, argh... I've seen too much of that. Thanks for sharing this story. I've been waiting for a take like yours on that line in "School Reunion" (and the pilot for The Sarah Jane Adventures, etc.), and on how things might have gone for the relationships between Sarah and Harry and between Sarah and the Doctor. Sarah and Harry are fabulous; I enjoyed your insight into the Doctor as well.
