Happy Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] dr_biscuit. Hope you have a good day, and thank you so much for introducing me to Leonard Cohen; even after a short acquaintance, some of his songs have become really, really important to me. (You'll be amused to hear that I have also made a Cohen convert via the unlikely medium of a sermon...)

Some years back I had a dream that I was 16 again. I was not a happy 16 year old, and in the dream it was rather a crushing blow. Then I realised something. Dream-16-years-old-again-me, remembered the life of Dream/Real-24ish-years-old-me, including musical taste. This time, late teenagehood would be OK, because this time, I knew about Leonard Cohen. And I would tell the others, and we would all be OK.

Leonard spans all boundaries, I'm glad you've found him!

He really does. Though I'm kicking myself for having believed the widespread idea that he's depressing... Never mind, I've found him now.
