Oh, I don't agree with the Archdeacon, on balance - but it was still a great moment, especially as (a) it was a rare moment where the character was showing genuine emotion, and (b) it was particularly powerful given that the character is a partnered, more or less out, gay man (and it does reflect how some, though not all, of the gay clergy I know feel about the matter).
