Note to self: reading the comments on articles at CiF about Fr Jeffrey John, Southwark, etc, is an even worse idea than reading CiF comments usually is, as it will leave you with the overwhelming desire to punch someone.

Date: 2010-07-07 09:37 pm (UTC)He's also a fine theologian, a thoroughly decent person, and a damned good priest - and celibate, so they really have no reason to oppose him (he's on the record as saying he thinks the church has got homosexuality wrong, but then so are various other prominent figures, including the Archbishop of Canterbury, and no-one is seriously suggesting that he shouldn't be a bishop because of that).
Newspaper comments sections really do bring the epic fail, don't they.
